Professor  Jagjit S. Dhaliwal is Programme Leader, Dentistry at Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam. Formerly, he was the Principal-Professor and Head of Periodontology at Rayat Bahra Dental College, Mohali, India. He is also a visiting faculty at AIIMS Rishikesh, India. Dr Dhaliwal received his dental degree from K.L.E.S’s Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum in 1994 and his MDS  in Periodontology in 1998. He is a reciepient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship by the Govt. of United Kingdom in the year 2002 through which he received his M.Phil. from the University of  Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2004. He has completed his Ph.D. in Craniofacial Health Sciences from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is well published and has been attending and presenting at various National and International conferences in India and abroad. Dr. Dhaliwal was awarded a six months international fellowship by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for biomedical scientists in the year 2011-2012.  He has been actively involved in the activities of the Indian Society of Periodontology and Indian Dental Association.
